Covid-19 Update 09/10/20
The club committee held another online meeting last night to review the latest coronavirus situation. Given that cases are currently increasing classes at Waldingfield will obviously still not be able to restart and the fortnightly Sunday dog walks will remain suspended for the time being.
The free open air training sessions for puppies and begginer dogs on Friars Meadow are still taking place but will obviously be restricted in numbers and must be booked in advance. To ensure that we comply with guidelines we would also request that only one person train with each dog. The next date for this is Sunday the 8th November with a following session on 22/11. As we are heading into winter these will obviously be dependant on the weather so please check this site or our Facebook page for future session dates and the latest information. Please call Hilary on 01449 741762 if you wish to attend or have any queries.
We will be continually reviewing the situation and hope to be able to start in full again as soon as conditions are right to do so. Please keep checking this site and our Facebook page for further updates.
To assist us with future decision making it would be good to know how members feel about a return to classes at the moment. If you could let us know or have any feedback you'd like to give please contact us through our Facebook site or send us an email.
We apologise for any disruption and inconvenience that our continued closure may cause but hope you understand.
Look after yourselves and hopefully we'll be up and running again before too long.
We train every Wednesday evening at Great Waldingfield Village Hall.
We offer three levels of Training (Beginners through to Advanced) plus puppy socialization, and run the Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme.
Next intake for beginners session starts 29 th January 2020.
Puppy socialization sessions are run on a rolling programme and we welcome puppies up to 18 weeks old once they are vacinated. After 18 weeks of age they are able to join the next intake session.
Please contact us to book a place.
See classes section for more details.
Sudbury Pet Dog Training Club was first established in 1962 and since then has seen many dogs come and go and many changes in training methods.
Dogs of all ages and size together with their handlers go through proven training exercises and techniques using reward based learning methods. Not harsh, negative dog training methods. We teach you these techniques so you can train you dog.
After dogs have completed training courses with us, we hope that they will be well socialised, well balanced and well behaved.
In turn, owners will hopefully have a dog they can be confident will interact with people and other dogs, they will know what their responsibilities are to their pet and most of all they will have a dog who is healthy, happy and who they can control properly and be proud of.
